Are You Chair Aware?

“I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to Me will never go hungry.”  (Jesus in John 6:35)

The Table

Life Church is the table where people come to get fed.
We are calling a generation to leverage their lives for the fame of Jesus!

Life Church has 4 Chairs at The Table.

Which chair are you sitting in?

1st Chair

Unchurched Larry
“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws them..."
(John 6:44)

2nd Chair

Fresh Faith
"Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity."
(Hebrews 6:1)

3rd Chair

Highchair or "I" Chair
"Even though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child."
(Hebrews 5:12-13)

4th Chair

Lifers / Door Holders
"'My food,’ said Jesus,
‘is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.’"
(John 4:34)

DOOR HOLDERS

N. DOHR HOHL-DER:
ONE WHO TAKES GREAT PLEASURE IN OPENING THE DOOR FOR OTHERS TO EXPERIENCE JESUS

What is a Door Holder?

We use the term “DoorHolder” instead of the word “volunteer.”

The term is borrowed from Psalm 84:10, which speaks of being a doorkeeper in the house of God:

“Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.”
(Psalm 84:10)

Door Holders at Life Church have been on the inside and have experienced God’s glory, and therefore consider it a privilege to stand on the outside and hold the doors for others to come in and experience Jesus.

In fact, they would rather hold the door than be anywhere else because their heart beat has shifted away from themselves and is set on preparing the way for others to have a powerful experience with Jesus.

We are all Door Holders.

At the core of being a Door Holder is faith in the One we are serving that shifts the focus off of us.

It’s not really about our comfort, our experience, or even us getting to be in any of the worship experiences.

No task is too small, and no ask is too big.

As Door Holders, we place others’ needs and experiences above our own because we believe that God can use us as His instruments as we see people encounter Him.

“Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and the country lanes and compel them to come in, so that My house will be full!"
(Jesus in Luke 14:23)

Get Involved.

It's time to see what God can do through you!

Let's work together.
